As stated in the match report Sandy Turnbull forgets his boots and is forced to wear a new pair resulting in severe blistering by half time, the Scot failed to return to the field after the interval for some ten minutes. Whilst traveling to the ground the horse drawing the taxi carriage slips and is to be assisted to its feet by the crew. Finally a funeral procession held up the traveling MUFC party.
