Tom Heaton is an English professional footballer and goalkeeper who rejoined Manchester United in 2021 after a successful career in various clubs, including a notable stint at Burnley. Born on April 15, 1986, in Chester, England, Heaton began his youth career at Manchester United, coming through the club's academy before making his professional debut in 2002.

After limited opportunities at United, Heaton had loan spells at several clubs, including Swindon Town and Cardiff City, before eventually making a permanent move to Cardiff in 2010. His performances at Cardiff earned him a transfer to Burnley in 2013, where he established himself as a key player and became known for his impressive shot-stopping abilities and leadership on the field.

During his time at Burnley, Heaton helped the team achieve promotion to the Premier League and secured a spot in the starting lineup, making significant contributions to the club’s success. He became a fan favorite and earned recognition for his consistent performances.

In 2021, Heaton rejoined Manchester United as a backup goalkeeper, bringing experience and depth to the squad. His presence has been invaluable in training and within the dressing room, providing guidance to younger goalkeepers like Dean Henderson and Martin Dubravka.

As of the 2023-2024 season, Tom Heaton remains an important figure at Manchester United, valued for his professionalism, experience, and role in supporting the team's goalkeeping unit. Tom Heaton made his MUFC debut 19 years after signing as a youth player.
