Toby Collyer, born on January 3, 2004, in England, is a midfielder youth product for Manchester United. Collyer began his youth career at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he developed into one of the most highly regarded prospects in English football. A versatile defensive midfielder, Collyer is known for his excellent positioning, composure on the ball, and ability to break up opposition play.
In March 2022, Collyer made a significant move to Manchester United, joining the club's prestigious academy after impressing scouts with his performances at the youth level. His signing was seen as a major coup for United, as Collyer had been tracked by several top clubs. He quickly settled into the Manchester United Under-21 side, where his tactical awareness and leadership qualities were evident, often playing as a central figure in the team's midfield.
Collyer has also been involved in England's national youth teams, representing his country at various levels, including the England U17 and U19 teams. His ability to dictate the tempo of a game and protect the backline has drawn comparisons to established defensive midfielders.
On 15 August 2025, gain experience joined West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan. His debut saw a 3–2 win over Wrexham. Injuries disrupted the young midfielder's progress when he retuned to Manchester for treatment on a calf injury. Due to injury's United recalled him thuis ending his loan spell with the Baggies
On 30 January 2026, Collyer left Manchester United on a loan spell with Championship side Hull City.
With significant investment in midfield during the summer transfer window & finding himself down the pecking order at Old Trafford, Collyer sought opportunity's elsewhere & returned to West Browmich Albion in a deal for £3m & 5m in add-ons.
