Sir Bobby Charlton - Ballon d'Or winner 1966
	On the 27/12/1966, Bobby Charlton (81 points) was awarded the prize managing to fend off the "Black Panther" & Benfica superstar Eusebio (80 points) by a single point, Bayern Munich's Franz Beckenbauer (59 points) finishing in third place.

George Best - Ballon d'Or winner 1968
	On the 24/12/1968 George Best (61 points) became the 1st Northern Irishman to win the award gaining and beating fellow team mate Bobby Charlton (53 points) & Red Star Belgrade's Dragan Džajić (46 points).

Cristiano Ronaldo - Ballon d'Or winner 2008
	On the 02/12/2008, Cristiano Ronaldo (446 points) won his 1st ever Ballon d'Or by beating Barcelona's Lionel Messi (281 points) and third place Liverpool's spanish striker Fernando Torres (179 points).
