WHICH MANAGERS COULD BE IN CONTENTION FOR THE MAN UNITED JOB AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

It is fair to say that being a Manchester United supporter right now is not the easiest thing in the world. Not only do you have City dominating English football, but you also have the underwhelming situation at Old Trafford to put up with each week. The hope of a new manager coming over the summer to get the club back on track is a positive though. Although there is a chance interim boss Ralf Rangnick could stay on, it seems more likely someone new will come into the hot seat.

If you are a keen Man United fan who likes to keep up with who might take over, making sure to catch the latest rumours on this subject is wise. Keeping up with the latest football betting stories at Premiership Bets is a great way to go about this. This trusted site not only brings the freshest football gossip but also betting tips, current league tables and football results to catch up on.

But just who do sites like this think could come inas manager for next season?

Mauricio Pochettino

The former Tottenham manager is now at Paris St Germain and has been someone on the radar of United previously. With Pochettino reportedly looking for a way out of Paris and a very good track record in English football with Spurs as well as Southampton, he is the bookies favourite to take over. His knowledge of the EPL would allow him to hit the ground running and his connection with top names like Harry Kane could make the club more appealing to them.

Erik ten Hag

At Dutch side Ajax since 2017, ten Hag is another name who is being widely mentioned as a real contender. He has certainly been impressive since taking over Ajax and has them playing attractive, attacking football. With ten Hag apparently eager for a new challenge and a reputation as one of the best youngmanagers in world football, you could easily see him heading to Old Trafford. With only a reported £50m for the next United manager to spend on transfers, ten Hag’s ability to work with young players could be key.

Diego Simeone

Many fans want a boss who is tough enough to get the current squad of players in line. While the legend that is Roy Keane remains an outside shot for this, many think hard-line Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is the man to hire. Simeone has been in Madrid for a while now but might be looking for a new challenge to take on. If he does arrive, he should hit the ground running and be able to extract a lot more effort from the squad.

Who will be Manchester United’s next boss?

As the 2021-22 EPL season draws to a close, this is the burning question for all Manchester United fans. As with anything in football, it is hard to say for sure – but the candidates shown above seem to be among the current favourites.
