What Are the Current NFL Teams Up To? A Closer Look at This Year’s New Season

After the eventful Super Bowl last February, teams and fans are slowly moving on and preparing for another season of NFL games. Even before the new regular season officially starts, many things have already taken place as part of the preparation for its kickoff.

To help you follow the new season, here is what you’ll need to know to get started.

2023 NFL Draft
Before the official 2023-2024 NFL season starts, the NFL Draft will first occur so they can prepare together for the training camp. The NFL Draft is a significant opportunity for NFL teams to infuse new talents into their team.

As such, the selection order for the Draft will be the opposite of their standing last season. So, for the upcoming NFL Draft this April 28 to 29, the Kansas City Chiefs will be the last team to pick their new players.

Although the order has been decided, the teams can trade their order for other things, such as players. A list of notable trades will be mentioned in the following section to understand this better.

Moreover, the Miami Dolphins forfeited their 2023 first-round pick and their third-round pick for the 2024 NFL Draft after being under investigation for violation of league policies regarding the integrity of the game. Also, the first team to pick for the 2023 NFL Draft is the Carolina Panthers.

Top Prospects
Whether you have plans to participate in NFL betting for the Draft or not, fans, bettors, and experts alike are making noises about potential players who will become the first player of the first pick.

This season of the NFL Draft, CJ Stroud and Bryce Young have close odds of becoming the favorites to be the first player to be selected. Both players are quarterbacks in their amateur years, which is perfect for what the Panthers significantly need.

● CJ Stroud. CJ Stroud is a sophomore quarterback from Ohio State. He’s a five-star recruit who had 3,878 yards and 47 touchdowns under his name last season. His production score in Production Score is in second place with a staggering 97 points. With his Athleticism score of 73, Stroud easily earns a total score of 85, which is relatively good for the 2023 Combine Q.B. Rank.

● Bryce Young. Closely behind Stroud is Bryce Young. He’s a junior-class quarterback from Alabama. A few of his remarkable stats include 4,528 yards and 58 touchdowns passing. Aside from that, Young also boasts a 99 score for Production, and 82 in Athleticism, which totals 92 points, which is in the Elite grade level.

2023-2024 Regular Season
Unfortunately, no official schedule is released this early for the 2023-2023 NFL regular season. However, it’s more likely that the NFL will post an official announcement regarding this around early May following the NFL Draft.

People currently know that the regular season usually starts the following weekend after the first Monday of September. You can look forward to it then!

While waiting for the official schedule, here are player updates you should know before the regular season starts.
