All of this is sounds very familiar to the regular football fans. But, there are some Man United stats you probably didn’t know about. Below we will mention the top 7 stats that are unknown to most fans.

CONCEDING 15 GOALS IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE 2023/2024

During the 2023/24 season, Manchester United managed to set a negative club record. The Reds became the first-ever English football team to concede a staggering 15 goals in the UEFA Champions League group stages.

With only 6 matches played during this stage, the group wasn't expected to give MUFC a hard time to qualify but featured Bayern Munich Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen. At the end of the group stage, the Red Devils were at the bottom of the group.

WINNING 6 AWAY MATCHES IN A ROW AFTER TRAILING

Between September and December 2020, Manchester United had a turbulent period. There were many ups and downs, but they also had luck on their side.
In the period that we mentioned, the team managed to win 6 away matches in a row. But, the interesting fact is that they were trailing every single one of them. This makes them the only Premier League club to do that. These matches were surely very popular for live betting at the top betting sites.

MOST LEAGUE GOALS SCORED BY A SINGLE PLAYER

Dennis Viollet holds the record for most league goals scored during a single season for Manchester United with a total of 32 goals in 36 league matches during the 1959/60 season. Wayne Rooney is currently the club’s all-time leading goal scorer in all competitions, having scored 253 goals in 599 appearances during his time at Old Trafford.

THE LONGEST UNBEATEN AWAY RUN IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Another incredible record set by Manchester United concerns the longest unbeaten away run in the Premier League. This magnificent run occurred between 17 February 2020 - 19 September 2021) Man United's record 29-game run came to an end by Leicester City.

WINNING THE LEAGUE WITH THE FEWEST POINTS

Manchester United also holds the record for winning the Premier League with the fewest points ever. This occurred back in the 1996/97 season when there was a lot of fierce competition in the league.
The Red Devils won the league with just 75 points, which today is hardly enough for a Champions League qualification. It's worth pointing out that almost all teams during that season were mostly ending their matches as draws. Man United had 12 draws in total, as well as 21 wins and only 5 losses.

FEWEST GOALS CONCEDED AT HOME DURING A SINGLE LEAGUE CAMPAIGN.

Another great record set by Manchester United, this one highlighting their defending abilities at home during the 1994/95 season.
During this Premier League season, the club only conceded 4 goals out of the total 19 home matches. Sadly, United failed to win the title by one point to Blackburn Rovers.

RECORD MUFC PENALTY TAKER

During the fixture captain Bruno Fernandes 12’ converted a penalty which created MUFC history, the Portuguse scored his Bruno Fernandes (29) becomes MUFC all team leading penalty kick scorer, overtaking Ruud van Nistelrooy record of 28 which had stood since 2006.
