Dimitar Berbatov (virus) will not play, United's Bulgarian Striker had been "laid up in bed since Tuesday morning".

SAF said "Dimitar won't play,"  "He's been in bed virtually since we arrived with a virus. We're not sure where it's come from, he may have picked it up on the plane.

Wayne Rooney picked up a knock in training but is expected to play.

 Pre Match Press Conference Highlights

On Gamba Dangermen
"Endo is Gamba's star player, but Lucas is also a very good player. I will hopefully pick the right formation to go out and win this match and qualify for the final. It is always tough when you have so many good players at your disposal. It won't be an easy task for us, but we'll hopefully get through. It should be a very interesting match"

On the Old Guard
Giggs, Neville and Scholes will all play. They have played a lot of big games and their experience will be vital.

On the Experience squad
"We have 23 players here and only one lacks experience, and that's goalkeeper Ben Amos (who replaced the injured third choice goalkeeper Ben Foster). The rest are high quality and mostly international players. It is difficult because I have to manage those players. To put an international in the stands can be regarded as an insult and for me it is embarrassing to ask a top player not to play."
