Manchester United v
Zenit St Petersburg, Stade Louis II, Monaco
, France 19.45 BST, Friday 29th August 2008.

SAF on the hunt for his third Super Cup of his long managerial career is expected to give both Gary Neville and Owen Hargreaves a start as the
England pair return to full fitness.

Hargreaves has recently defeated the tendonitis problem, while Neville has missed out due to the Wes Brown's current run in the side.

Nani returns after his three match ban was completed against Portsmouth.

Ryan Giggs is expected to be fit after a hamstring problem.

Zenit St Petersburg's Andrei Arshavin may be missing after manager Dick Advocaat said: "His head is occupied with other thoughts."  Arshavin was reported to sign for Tottenham last week but reports claimed the deal was now off.

Pavel Pogrebnyak has returned to the side after knee problems kept the striker out of Euro 2008.

New €30m signing Danny should also face the United, while full back Aleksandr Anyukov is likely to miss the game due to a chest problem, the defender has been diagnosed with "nerve" problems in his ribs.

 Pre Match Press Conference Highlights
On General selection
"I think we'll view the Super Cup as a one-off and we want to win it obviously. But it is also an opportunity to play Anderson, who is back from the Olympic Games, Nani who's available from a suspension, and if possible Gary Neville," said Sir Alex. "I think those three will figure in Friday night's game. Patrice Evra and Wayne Rooney will be involved. Thereafter it depends who's coming back from injury – if Owen Hargreaves has maintained his training ground performances he will play; Ji-Sung Park, I'm not so sure. I think we'll play a strong team but there'll certainly be some changes."

On the last time
"I remember the last time we went there I only played half a team," "When I saw Lazio celebrating at the end, it was like they had won the World Cup.  "I was not too pleased. I thought, 'That will not happen again'. "We'll view the Super Cup as a one-off and we want to win it but we are expecting a very tough game."

John O'Shea
"We want to win the Super Cup it is as simple as that,"  "At the end of it to be known as the best club in Europe is what we want and we will be doing our best to get it."

Ryan Giggs
"It is the winners of the UEFA Cup against the winners of the European Cup so it is a special game.  "The last time we played in the Super Cup we lost and it is was not very nice. Winning it gives you confidence.  "I believe this team can dominate football for the next five or ten years.  "Last season was unbelievable and the test now is to build on that starting with the Super Cup. I want that on my CV."
