Dimitar Berbatov (hamstring) will miss out after his
Bulgarian side was smashed 6-1 in midweek, the skillful
forward left the game clutching his leg and will not recover
in time for the Saturday Evening kick off.
Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson will be assessed following their
long & pointless friendly in Brazil.
Rio Ferdinand will face a late fitness test on a back injury
which has kept the England defender out for almost a week.
Wayne Rooney (virus/calf) is expected to play.
Carlos Cuellar (thigh) for the visit of Manchester United as
he has a thigh strain.
John Carew could return to the fold following a recent back
injury. |

On
Berbatov's Injury
"It is not a tear, it's a strain," said Fergie. "But with
hamstrings you don't take any chances."
On Rio
Ferdinand playing against Villa
"I don't
think he will make it"
On Wes Brown's
exploratory surgery
"I would have
thought Wes will be out for between four and five weeks,
which is disappointing," he added.
