Three points, Two goals, and a definite trace of a insistent goal celebration was the call of the night for Manchester United as Cristiano Ronaldo got back to business with a brace at the same time rapidly approaching 100 goals for club.  After the disappointing 2nd half in the Reds game against Everton, SAF chose to ring in minimal changes freshening the squad as Rafael & Carlos Tevez both started.

The home side immediately sprung into life as England defender Matthew Upson deflected a goal bound shot from Berbatov over the bar
after Patrice Evra & Nani had combined down the left wing.  Comfortable in possession & pressing the West Ham defence, Anderson flicked on a pass from Darren Fletcher which found Nani wide left, the Portuguese winger let loose a powerful curling shot which Robert Green in the Hammers goal was happy to see go just wide of his post.

West Ham failing to cope with Fletcher & Anderson in midfield were almost punish to maximum when Anderson threaded a pass into the visitors box to the feet of Berbatov, the Bulgarian showing uncanny balance dribbled his way through a triangle of West Ham defenders as his resulting shot was blocked by excellent goalkeeping from Robert Green as he narrowed the angle before Mathew Upson cleared danger.

Rafael gathering Upson's clearance, crossed from the right as the attempted clearing header fell to Anderson who then slipped a ball into Nani as the ensuing pass found the waiting Ronaldo who scooped his shot into the net for the opener.

Patrice Evra having a field day on the left cleverly found Nani and after a twist & turn let fly with a shot just past Green's far post when maybe Berbatov was in a better position.

Anderson with all his magical passing ability is still with out his shooting boots as the Brazilian later missed a gift wrapped chance for the Reds.

Settling in to his United career very nicely now (Editor: unless your called Tinker pictured left) our latest new signing still criticized by some for his lack of effort was tracking back on a rare West Ham venture into United's half attack before winning possession & laying the foundations for the Reds next goal, Nani momentarily lost possession before the Reds won a throw & Anderson again with excellent pass gave Berbatov centre stage to show the world his talent.

Covering Berbatov & in no apparent immediate danger, West Hams James Collins was left looking like Stan Laurel scratching his head as with a sublime piece of audacity & skill, the Bulgarian genius stopped the ball going out of play, clipped the ball down the by-line & turned his man inside all in one before racing to the near post & finding the on-rushing Ronaldo for 2-0.

IN the second half Ronaldo even had his attempt at a "Berbatov" as wide right he evaded Illunga & the resulting wingers pass had a beautiful turn from Tevez in the box blocked by Hayden Mullins.

SAF then brought on Wayne "Once a Blue Always a Red, Now he's got a New Skinhead" Rooney & Michael Carrick for Nani & Fletcher and the pair got to work immediately combining well as Green had to save a chip from just inside the box.

West Ham finally fashioned a excellent chance when Ex Arsenal forward Boa Morte timed an excellent run with a equally as good pass from Craig Bellamy catching the United defence cold as Patrice Evra played the West Ham Striker onside, however Boa Morte had minimal contact with the pass & Kuszczak collected easily.

Rooney then stung Robert Green's hands with a 30 yard strike that the Hammers keeper could only parry & Gary Neville was brought on for Rafael for the final ten minutes, which the United Captain ran his team out easy winners leaving Ex Chelsea forward Gianfranco Zola pondering his 4th straight defeat.
