A late
equalizer saw the spoils shared by the Top two teams in England as Manchester United & Chelsea drew 1-1 in the big match of the weekend.  Ji-Sung Park struck for the Reds before Kalou equalized with ten minutes to go.

A strong start once again from United soon fizzed out as is the story of the season so far continued, both teams had changes in the starting line ups with SAF opting to play Berbatov & Rooney with the defensive work rate on the wings of Owen Hargreaves & Ji Sung Park.

SAF seemingly had his tactics bang on as Chelsea couldn't even manage to get into the proverbial car never mind getting into second gear as Fletcher, Park, Scholes & Hargreaves ensured Chelsea's midfield were made to look vague, cutting off the supply to the forwards whilst struggling to come to terms with United's hard work.

SAF fielded a truly strong bench with Ronaldo, Tevez, Giggs & Nani all waiting in the wings.

Chelsea saw Deco injured in the warm up and he was replaced by Michael Ballack (who it had to be said saved Gary Neville from being sent off later in the game.

In the early going United had efforts from Fletcher & Rooney before Joe Cole replied for the home side with a hand ball after racing clear the Tyrannosaurus Rex stumpy armed Cockney only managed to smash the ball wide.

Chelsea then lost in MUFCINFO.COM's opinion their best defender as defender Ricardo Carvalho was forced to leave the game with a knee injury being replaced by Alex.

United soon after, took the lead after some uncharacteristic goalkeeping from Petr Cech who initially fumbled Berbatov's shot, Ji Sung Park who has made a career of running onto team mates shooting attempts incase of a spillage, was rewarded again as the Korean stabbed home a deserved lead.

United survived a panic later in the match after Gary Neville who is showing signs of a return to sharpness/fitness, short changed his keeper EVDS, the Dutch stickman came out from goal & saved United after thwarting Florent Malouda's capitalization of Captain Nevilles shot header only to catch a painful knock to the shins.

A cock up later while collecting a ball into his box EVDS signaled to be replaced by Polish keeper Tomasz Kuszczak & the keeper was thrown into the firing line as Alex had a vicious effort saved by the EVDS's replacement.

Changes were made in the second half as Chelsea began to dominate possession, Didier Drogba entered the game for Malouda, & United introduced Ronaldo for Paul Scholes.

Joe Cole was given another excellent goalscoring opportunity nearing 60 minutes but Kuszczak save easily & perhaps the miss of the season as Anelka was gifted a goal from Joe Cole, but he botched connecting with the ball in anyway with an open net from 3 yards out.  In a game where again the Reds faded badly as the game wore on, Chelsea got the elusive but deserved equalizer after Rooney was booked for a tackle on Ashley Cole.

Unfortunately & as SAF quoted after last weeks Liverpool disaster, "Conference defending" would cost the Reds a goal again as not a single United player picked up goal scorer Kalou from the resulting free kick & Kuszczak rooted to his spot when maybe intervention would have saved the goal led the Reds down badly eliminating United from victory.

Gary Neville then blocked from Kalou as Chelsea searched for a winner & the final whistle was blown seconds after Rio Ferdinand had delivered a big hit to Drogba which the diving cheat & Vidic slapper ended on the floor in pain which signaled both teams sharing the points.

United at the end the game had seven players booked and whistle happy Mike Riley ruled the fixture with no common sense & an iron fist, the Reds face a fine of £25,000 & charge for not controlling their players.

 MUFCINFO's MAN OF THE MATCH

Brilliant performance by both United full backs really, but Evra was a menace to Chelsea & got stuck in when needed, also he was at hand for United's goal.
 MUFCINFO.COM's REACTION
Why cant we capitalize on our good starts?, another great opening period, and then we fade terribly.

Far far too early to start to criticize, but Berbatov looked again a bit off the pace, lazy balls & sloppy passes were getting me irate.

There's oh so much more to come from the Reds!!! & now the Fixtures have given us a slight break from the top four, we really now need to accumulate points.
