Chelsea v Manchester United, Stamford
Bridge,
London,
14.00pm, Sunday 21st September
2008.
Dimitar
Berbatov has shaken off his knee injury he picked up
against the Bin dippers.
United
goalkeeper Ben Foster has been ruled out for six to eight
weeks after injuring his ankle, the keeper tipped to
replace EVDS fell awkwardly in the 0-0 draw with Blackburn
Rovers reserves and left Carrington on crutches.
SAF has a problem of who to pick to partner Ferdinand in
the centre of defence, MUFCINFO expects SAF to move Wes
Brown from right-back and replace him with Captain Gary
Neville, however But Jonny Evans.
SAF said "I need to work out whether I go with Evans'
ability but lack of experience or whether I opt for Wes'
experience and Gary at full-back,"
"Gary was only playing his second competitive match on
Wednesday but he did very well," added Ferguson.
"That will bring him on if I decide to play him on Sunday
but Evans was excellent as well." "Jonny was the big plus.
For a young man of 20, he shows great maturity in his
game. "He reads the game well, which is a fantastic asset
to have at such a young age.
"He is commanding in the air and a good user of the ball
and that gives me confidence that he could step right into
the first team with no worries."
Didier Drogba is now in contention to play as he makes a
return from injury & Michael Ballack has recovered from a
foot injury.

Pre Match
Press Conference Highlights |
On Ronaldo
“He’s a natural
athlete,” Sir Alex said. “He’s trained very well and
I'd have no problems at all playing him on Sunday. I
just have to decide if it’s the right time. “I
think he did very well on Wednesday night. He was
aggressive in his running and was a good threat.
“The boy wants to play – he’s been in my ear the
whole time. I just hope I pick the right team.”
On Ben Foster
“Ben’s
not had any luck,” “He was coming on
fantastically, he’s been training really well. I
made him substitute on Wednesday, which gives you an
indication of his return to fitness. “He’s
been blighted by injuries so far in his career. He’s
a top goalkeeper and I just hope he gets a little
break now.” Sir Alex was quick to point out Foster’s
latest injury is unrelated to the goalkeeper’s past
troubles.
“This has nothing to do with his previous injury –
that was a cruciate knee injury. It was just bad
luck.”
