PRESSURE gets to Gallas

Lets all laugh at Gallas

Article by Mark Graham, Stats Nerd

EDUARDO
MUFCINFO.COM would like to take a moment to wish Arsenal's No 9 Eduardo our very best wishes & hopefully a very speedy recovery to full fitness. The Arsenal Striker was stretchered off and sent straight to a Birmingham hospital after an awful & horrific injury he picked up in the 1st 5 minutes of Arsenal's game against Birmingham. Once again, All the best mate.

The Pressure has gotten to me like!!!Moving on a single number to No10 brings us to Arsenal Captain &   the inventor of "Never Give Up" as after scoring a goal late against United at Highbury this season Gallas was seen on TV giving his team mates the message with great enthusiasm, well Mr Gallas, it seems you have given up & the pressure has gotten to you, embarrassingly.
Club Captain & thee person responsible to rally his troops in times of trouble was seen sulking alone on the other side of the pitch away from all team mates after Gael Clichy had given away a penalty in the last minute.

Reacting petulantly & Un-Captain like, Gallas almost walked down the tunnel before the kick was taken & had to be restrained after James McFadden's late penalty saw the Brummies snatch a point after being down to 10 men for almost the entire game.

If this was a Manchester United Captain, he should be stripped of Captaincy, but this is Arsenal, ask your self this any Gooners who read this.................would Tony Adams have done this??

Match Review
Newcastle United 1 v 5 Manchester United, St James Park, 17.15pm, Saturday 23rd February 2008.
Goals: Newcastle United Faye (79) Manchester United: Rooney (25), (80), Ronaldo (45), (56), Saha (90).
Attendance: 52,291

With Arsenal drawing earlier in the day against Birmingham, United had a fantastic opportunity to catch up on the Gunners & a quite rampant Manchester United did not disappoint.

Two goals a piece for The White Pele & Ronaldo & an injury time Saha goal blew the Magpies away, still leaving Kevin Keegan searching for his 1st victory as new manager.

Newcastle were first to the punch after the opening kick off as Vidic shielded "Dirty" Michael Owen well having to be alert at the near post with the Ex Bindipper sniffing for any sort of chance.

The visitors soon got into a rhythm as Darren Fletcher & Michael Carrick complementing each other well, started to get to grips with the midfield area, SAF chose Carlos Tevez to partner Rooney up front & gave Fletcher a deserved start as United started the demolition of the Geordies.

Ronaldo scorer of many this season but the Portuguese flyer back to his best for this game, turned provider after destroying Beye on the left, Ronaldo changed direction with a back flick & crossed a perfect ball for Wayne Rooney, who totally unmarked ran from distance to meet the cross as N'Zogbia his marker daydreamed.

Michael Carrick was Orchestrating the Reds midfield by picking up balls that Darren Fletcher had poked loose with another energetic display & our own Geordie then broke the hearts of many Barcodes as he slipped in a sublime ball for the Quicksilver Ronaldo to race onto duly converting for United's second.

Nani shortly after crossed from the right for Carlos Tevez but somehow the Argentine steered his golden chance of a header wide of the post before Ronaldo shot wide.

The second half saw Newcastle change goal keepers as Given was removed for Harper & Newcastle started brightly with Damien Duff striking a shot at EVDS who saved.

Eventual Barcode goal scorer Abdoulaye Faye then added to Newcastle woes as a cheap submission of possession put his team on the back foot, Ronaldo capitalising after slipping, ran past Taylor who also fell to the St James Park turf, Taylor could only watch as Ronaldo rounded Harper & shot into the net for his 29th Goal of the season.

With all nails firmly in the coffin Newcastle murmured briefly when after a corner wasn't particularly defended well by United, Andy Carroll headed down into the danger zone where Faye reacted first smashing the ball home.

Like as a child throwing stones at a Wasps nest this "got United's attention" as Wayne Rooney added another brilliant goal to his career tally, curling in from just outside of the box, shattering any hopes of any sort of comeback which miracle wise would have been on par with the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Still not finished yet, Saha thanks to a Wayne Rooney assist added a fifth for Manchester United after previously going close in the six yard box.

United's Man of the Match

Some strong performances indeed as Carrick, Ronaldo & Rooney were world class, Rooney & Ronny were hard to separate but for the sheer class of the curling shot Master Rooney wins it.
