summer.
Senegalese hot prospect Mame Biram Diouf was signed perhaps surprisingly during
United's tour of the Far East, SAF explained "
"We’ve been looking at him for two years.,
"We weren't intending on signing anyone else after last
week - we feel we have a full squad - but the situation
accelerated to a point where other clubs started to make
bids, so we had a decision to make.
"We decided to act now and he’ll be the last person we
sign this summer."
United and Molde F.K. agreed terms for
the transfer of Mame Biram Diouf
& the forward is to have a medical, but will be loaned
immediately back to the Norwegian outfit.
The 21 year old will return to Manchester
United in January when he will in effect start his
career for the Reds.
Diouf has
became
prolific in the goal scoring stakes so far in his his
short career having netted
38 times in 73 appearances for
Molde FK,
the side that
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played for before he joined
Manchester United.
Diouf
so far this season has
17 goals from 21 games
including a 9 minute hat trick against
Brann,
before ending a "good day at the office" scoring a
fourth, Molde went on to win 5-2.
Mame Biram Diouf has
not made
a full international appearance so far have
represented his
country
at youth, Under-21 and Olympic (Under-23) level.
Later in the week United's newest acquisition said ""It
was something in a dream and I couldn't believe it,"
"I was saying it's not true for two days. I didn't
believe it because there have been many rumours saying:
I am going there, I'm going there, so I said no.
"(It hasn't sunk in) yet, until I sign I think it is a
dream."
"I
heard there were a lot of clubs, some from the
Netherlands," he added. "I didn't think I had any
interest from England but then suddenly Manchester call,
then it was good news.
"No
way, why should I (think of going anywhere else)?
Everybody wants to play for United, they are a big club.
"They
have everything, they play football there and everybody
wants to play for United."
There
is also no news yet of which squad number Diouf will wear this coming season.
