To add to the experience of
learning Manchester United's rich & colourful history,
here at mufcinfo.com we have now added a discussion
forum to run alongside the main site. If you
haven't visited us before, the site I have built as an
educational tool to learn about mine & about your passion,
Manchester United Football Club.
As all forums, ours
consisting of the usual latest news from Old Trafford
etc, a number of popular sections seem to be gathering
momentum and are all heavily relied upon by you the fans
to be a success. After launch in December 2009, I
trialled an "Ask the Editor" board, the basics
were/are very
simple, is their
any feasible question on
MUFC that you require answering?.
You must have been this
scenario before as a United fan, someone asks you What
was the name of that player?, who was the 1st
Premiership goalscorer for United?, who scored at Old
Trafford 1st?, What was the score when?, etc, etc,
challenge me to find out & I'll try & find the answer &
do the hard work for you, and I usually do get it in the
end.

In the past, Members have used it as a way
to settle a pre match drink pub argument like, "what was
the name of the name of the French defender
Eric Cantona recommended to Fergie?. (answer
William Prunier. etc or who scored the 1st United
goal in the Premiership (answer
Mark Hughes).
We have unearthed some
interesting tales looking for answers, including Sir Alex Ferguson playing a
game in the 1st team in a pre season friendly after
coming on as a sub for
Peter Davenport, Archie Knox scoring a goal against
the Somerset County Cricket team in the same pre season
tour amongst other things.
Another special section for our forum
members was to try to encourage to send in their MUFC
related pictures, if your lucky enough to have met a
player, manager or Ex United star, its always an honour
to get that cherished photo.

explained "I wanted to try to make our forum different
than other forums I have used, pictures make a thousand
words some say & one of our long time subscribers Mick Groom of United, Kids, Wife flag
fame (pictured left with Paddy Crerand & Bryan Robson in
Malaysia) posted photos of almost every time he has met
a current Ex player over the past 20 plus years, it's a
remarkable collect to say the least, from
Wayne Rooney to
Greame Hogg, to
Clayton Blackmore without a sunkissed tan, to
Remi Moses with his trademark afro, its all their.
In the short space of time its took to
gather 170+ members, I look forward to seeing what
our future forum members will post!!.
We hope it continues to grow as its doing
now, as as expected we've members from all over the
world.
